Can I claim compensation for my child if they were in a road traffic accident on a bus but I did not accompany them.
My 6 year old son was a passenger and pupil riding on school bus that hit car.
It was the drivers fault from what I heard, he drove the bus right into the back of another vehicle at the traffic lights because he lost control of the coach for a moment.
My son was thrown from his seat and badly hurt himself, he had severe muscular bruising to both lower legs and his arms were bruised and really sore, he is walking with a limp and has trouble raising his arms over his head.
He is also badly shaken up and traumatised by the incident and wont get back on the bus, we took him to ER and followed up with Dr the next day, the doctor has said we were lucky and it could have been much worse but said he had seriously hurt himself and was going to be in pain from his wounds for weeks.
What kind of money is he entitled to as a child claiming against the bus company or school?
Can my son move schools and get a place in a better school as part of his claim with legal expert solicitors?
any advice is appreciated
