How much compensation could you claim for getting hit by a taxi driver?

I was in a road traffic accident that was not my fault, I was ran over by a black hackney cab while crossing the road at the traffic lights.

I was safely using the zebra crossing and the man was green for me to walk and red for the traffic to stop, but thus taxi driver must not have been paying attention, must have been on his phone or having a conversation, conversing with a passenger, he did not see me and ploughed straight into me as he slammed the breaks on.

I was hit from behind and my body bounced off the bonnet and I was knocked to the floor, I have reported the accident to the police as he got off without giving me all his details, basically he did a hit and run, I only have the taxi company as he would not give his name or details.

I have been to see my doctor and the GP said I have soft tissue damage and whiplash from the incident, I am in constant agonising lower back pain.

Can I have a quote at how much compensation I could get if I won the case?

We have to obtain what is known as a medico-legal report to support any claim for personal injury compensation.
