I had an accident at work on Monday I slipped on the floor in the kitchen area of the restaurant were I am employed and hit my hip off of the metal side and twisted my ankle causing me to be signed off work and I have lost out on a lot of money.
There is no report in the accident book because it was busy and I had to keep going because we are under a lot of pressure from the manager to work harder and faster which contributed to the accident in the first place, the floor was all greasy and wet and not safe no signs or warnings were out, the kitchen porter seemed to have no idea standing on his phone there anything I can do?
The doc has explained it could take up to 6 weeks for me to be better, do you have any advice? the incident was witnessed by the manager, chef and front of house staff but I dont want to lose my job if I make a claim against my employer
