Police crashed into the back of my car, I have whiplash and I am worried about claiming compensation

If anyone has any experience with a personal injury or road traffic accident case for compensation against the law their help or legal advice would be appreciated.

An off duty police officer crashed into the back of my car when I was at parked in standstill traffic, she smashed the rear end of my car up, shattered window, broken bumper and dinted & crumbled the boot door, she has said it was her fault and I have her details.

My neck back and shoulder nerves and muscles are damaged, what will I need to do? just can't believe that happened and it was a police officer speeding, her and all the officers at the time said it was her fault and she obviously didn't see me so I guess they can't really argue, but I'm still worried.

The off duty cop quickly came round the corner at speed and didn't realise I was there and smashed into the back of my car where I was with my husband and young children, they are fine if only a little bit shook up from the incident but I flew forward and injured myself I have an aching stiff neck, shoulders are swollen and bruised and cant move properly and my lower back and spine are in agonising pain, the doctors have confirmed I have sustained whiplash and possibly slipped discs because of the loss of sensation and pins and needles in my arms and hands.

I did report it at the time and an ambulance came, so I have all the paper work, didn't even realise she was a police woman until she told me but i feel because she is police she might be difficult but she did own that it was her fault and she should of stopped, but I don't know whats going to be involved in making a claim against the police, do we have to go to court and stuff that's all a bit scary, I'm worried the law will gang up and twist the evidence against me so I cant claim compo.

If I enter into no win no fee agreement will l be liable for costs if don't win?
