We were just about to leave the premises, as near the door I slipped and fell on my back/ bum from what I presume to be grease on the floor I have lower back pain which has gone from mild to quite moderate which is stopping me sleeping.
I am self employed so not taking any time off but feel I should be compensated for both my injuries and the distress and embarressment of the accident, they dont seem to have CCTV but I would like to know if my detail like my name or address will be sent or passed on in anyway to the company the claim is being put against?
Also before I make a claim, if I wanted to cancel the claim at any time am I able to do so? If I decide not to persue / cancel the claim what happens? will I be liable for any costs or is it a no-win no-fee basis?
Also what happens if the cctv doesn't show that the takeaway was at fault? Do I get charged if it's "deemed" as my own fault?
