How do I claim compensation for a personal injury for someone else if they have had a trip and fall accident in a public place that was not their fault?
I am posting this to enquire on behalf of my mother she went out to the shops, was walking along the street and tripped and fell on an uneven paving slab, it was slanted and poking out a couple of inches.
She went flying, caught her shoe on the paving stone and tripped over face first and forwards hard, it was so serious she has fractured her elbow, sprained her wrist and has 2 black eyes.
She banged her head and we took her to a and e where she had tests and scans and they also told us she was severely concussed!
She is elderly and is now having to have careers come in to her house everyday as she can't wash or dress herself.
And she has been badly affected mentally by the accident and we cant get her to leave the house.
How much compensation can I claim for mental damages from an accident in a public place?
