How much compensation can I claim for a shoulder injury from a road traffic accident?

I have injured my shoulder in a car crash and I would like to claim compensation.
I was hit by a caravan from behind and I have collected their details, now my shoulder is injured and I cannot raise my arm above my head, how much money could I be entitled to?
I also have had to take time of work, can I claim back my wages as loss of earnings?
