How do I make a claim for compensation as a passenger in an RTA?

I was in a car accident that was not my fault and I am suffering from back pain and want to claim for whiplash.
It was not the driver of the car I was in fault, the other driver crashed into the back of us but I have not heard back from the insurance company yet?
Can I claim compensation on a no win/no fee basis?
