Can I claim for my mothers death from the care home she was staying?

My mother was in a care home for 2 years before she died and in that time her health deteriorated terribly, she was in and out of hospital and lost loads of weigh, I had made several complaints which have been up held by the care inspector, can I claim for neglect against the care home for my mothers death?
